Letter from Voly Group CEO
This year COVID-19 has changed everything about life and work as we know it. We have all focused on how to best protect and support our families, employees, clients and communities in the face of the unfolding crisis. On behalf of all of us here at Voly, I want to let you know that our thoughts are with all those who are affected.
Many people and companies will be much harder hit than Voly and will have to cope with tougher challenges as a result of this crisis. A challenging moment like this is the time to support and care for those around us both in our work and personal lives. Unprecedented travel restrictions have led to difficult personal and family situations for many of our industry professionals and we are grateful to see parts of the world opening up again so that this fantastic industry can continue to grow and thrive.
Voly has always strived to provide our clients with the tools to improve internal processes, whist driving efficiencies and most of all saving time. Now more than ever, we have been focussed on enabling our clients to be productive and maintain business continuity during this challenging time.
We recognise the critical role that systems such as Voly play in the success of our clients’ operations, so we quickly adapted our business to ensure we could support yours. By providing a safe and comfortable work environment at home for all our employees, we were able to maintain the highest standards of service that our clients have come to expect. Working remotely didn’t stop us from being able to welcome a number of new clients to the Voly family when crew and management teams found themselves with unexpected downtime to review internal processes.
The Voly model was designed to allow users to access data in real-time anywhere in the world and never has this been more critical than during the last difficult 6 months. Our cloud-based system meant that relocating and adjusting to “the new normal” did not mean any loss in efficiency for our clients when it came to yacht financial management.
Team Voly have been busy getting ready for the industry to return to its full capacity, from new features and modules to expanding our fantastic team. The launch of our new APA management module has been well received so far, with many of our captains enjoying the benefits of the automated end of charter reports. We have been working hard to ensure we can continuously deliver our solutions and serve our clients’ needs throughout this period of uncertainty.
The yachting industry is a resilient one, we have we seen a huge increase in charters in the last 6 weeks, including the impressive 107m Lana entering the charter market. There have also been some spectacular build projects hitting the water, the sleek 100m Moonrise and the contemporary lines of 75m Arrow from Feadship and let’s not forget headline grabbing Olivia O, with her reverse bow, this striking explorer divided the internet in its opinions! The pandemic has also not halted yacht sales, we saw high profile vessels such as Lunasea closing and the multi award winning 11:11 hitting the market for the first time with Y.CO. With over 80 superyachts in build and due for launch in 2021, we are excited to see what is to come for this incredible growing industry that we are so proud to be part of.
Voly is here to support you during these unprecedented times and our team is always available for any questions or concerns you may have.
Above all, stay safe and healthy and we look forward to seeing you all soon.
